Erik and I have never been very good at taking videos or pictures. One of our first trips together was to D.C., and we got a new video camera because we were just sure we’d want to video everything. When we got home, we only had 11 minutes of short clips.

 

Years later, when our son was born, I knew the first year would have so many changes that I made myself take one picture per month and framed it all as the first year. I think every other photo we have from that year was taken by grandma!

 

More recently, Erik got an SLR camera to pursue his photography hobby (ironic for people who barely take pictures) and the memory card has lots of pictures, but we have never loaded them onto the computer or printed them out…

 

We like to think it is because we live in the moment.
